Production Manager / Head of Production (F/M/D)

What you bring
- A successfully completed technical or vocational training program in a production setting with relevant additional qualifications, or a college degree with a focus on production, engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional and leadership experience at a manufacturing company
- Experience in managing and improving production processes
- A solid understanding of production planning, capacity management, key performance indicators, and on-time delivery
- Excellent command of German and good written and spoken English
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and common Microsoft Office applications
- You meet the requirements for registration in the trade registry, or you are willing to work with us to meet them
- Training qualifications or experience in training for industrial and logistics professions is an asset
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people in a confident and respectful manner
What you do at KMH
- Assume overall responsibility for all manufacturing areas and provide technical and disciplinary leadership to employees and trainees in the production department
- Manage and develop up to ten team coordinators and team leaders, and ensure clear responsibilities, decision-making processes, and management structures within production
- Responsibility for personnel and capacity planning and ensuring that staff are deployed in a cost-effective manner that meets operational needs
- Responsibility for relevant production metrics and budgets, analyzing variances, and implementing appropriate measures to achieve targets
- Managing production processes with the goal of ensuring complete and on-time delivery in accordance with our OTIF commitment
- Analysis of existing processes, development of binding standards, and reduction of unplanned ad hoc measures
- Use of our ERP and planning systems to transparently monitor, prioritize, and manage production orders
- Provide support for day-to-day operations as needed and, in the event of deviations, ensure quick, sustainable, and economically sound solutions
- Continuous improvement of processes, structures, and management tools in the production area
- Actively driving forward future-oriented topics such as digitalization and automation, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and process reliability
- Evaluation, planning, and support for automation, digitization, and investment projects in the production sector
- Close collaboration with adjacent functional areas, particularly with process management, production logistics, engineering, and sales
- Internal and external point of contact for overarching production-related issues
- Ensuring compliance with all requirements related to quality, energy, the environment, occupational safety, and health protection
